• The Patrons Of The Arts In The Vatican Museums

  
  The Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the vast and unique collection of artistic treasures contained in the Vatican Museums.

  This restoration and preservation is made possible by donations from the Patrons organization which recognizes the unique opportunity to participate in the work of the Vatican Museums.  Although the Vatican Museums and Pontifical Galleries host over 15,000 visitors each day, the sale of tickets only provides for the daily operation of the museums. The museums are not subsidized by the Holy See, and all funds for restoration and preservation must be supported by Patrons dedicated to the unique spiritual and cultural mission of the Vatican Museums and Pontifical Galleries. While the contribution of the Patrons is often unseen, the chance to contribute to the restoration and preservation of the irreplaceable art collections is an invitation to become personally involved in one of the world’s greatest repositories of art and culture.

  A substantial portion of the price of the Vatican Insider Tour Experience is used by the Vatican Museums for restoration work, conservation projects, equipping the restoration laboratories, capital improvements and acquisition of art.
