Luxurious permanent and semi-permanent migratory camps are carefully located to coincide with documented movements of the annual Great Migration as it traverses the Serengeti Plains, allowing guests to come as close as possible to the migration as well as resident game.

Even if you have seen the wildlife riches of Africa before, you have never seen them on so fast a scale as during the Great Migration. Read more on Singita's blog.

Singita Grumeti Reserves

Singita Grumeti, situated adjacent to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, is an integral part of the Serengeti-Mara Ecosystem, the home of the Great Migration. The reserve was created to protect the path of the annual wildebeest migration and the indigenous biodiversity of this vast and important ecosystem. Since 2006, Singita has managed the reserve, at the request of the concessionaire and began the task of generating, via low impact tourism, the funds necessary to ensure the long-term sustainability of the reserve through conservation and community partnerships.

The Great Migration

Within the next two days, wildebeest in the multiple hundreds of thousands engulfed Singita Grumeti; the Great Migration had arrived.  By the end of the month the...

Arusha Coffee Lodge

Nestled amongst the coffee plants of the largest plantation in Tanzania is the Arusha Coffee Lodge, the finest accommodation in the gateway city to the famous parks of Tanzania.  The lodge is cozy and serene, with excellent food, comfortable furnishings and superb coffee. Luxury chalets are designed around the original plantation houses, lavishly furnished with a split level living area, open fires and a private wooden deck overlooking the plantation, where Vervet monkeys can often be seen clambering nearby.

There is a swimming pool and spa area behind the reception and restaurant. Redds African Grill House, serves a variety of international and local and African cuisine, most of which is supplied by local farms.  The bar area is a popular hangout at night and is a great place for a few after dinner drinks. Breakfast consists of an assortment of cereals, breads, fruits and traditional egg dishes; lunches are usually barbeque style.

Faru Faru River Lodge, Singita Grumeti Reserves

Faru Faru is built on a gently sloping hill above a beautiful waterhole and the Grumeti River.  The suites and main lodge are modern interpretations of the traditional Masai home, blending into the undisturbed landscape.  Every suite has a picture window facing the waterholes and river so that day or night, whatever the weather, you can view the wildlife in complete comfort.  Everything from dinner to a long bubblebath comes with a magnificent view.

The local influence is ever-present, inspired by rock formations said to have been left behind by an ancient people. The elevated viewing decks over the watering hole means that viewing game without even leaving the lodge is an option. The Swahili-inspired beach offers the opportunity for some serious rest and relaxation.
