The immaculately restored Cape Dutch homestead at Grande Roche Hotel dates back to the 18th century, and offers guests a variety of sumptuous accommodations, which include 29 luxury suites and five executive rooms.

Day 1 – August 8: Arrive in South Africa
Arrive in Cape Town and transfer to your hotel.
The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2 – August 9:  Full Day Tour of Cape Point [B]
Enjoy a scenic drive through Cape Peninsula Park to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, stopping to take in the tidal pools and flora and fauna unique to the area.  Ascend to the Lighthouse lookout by funicular or on foot for spectacular views from one of Africa’s highest cliffs.

Day 3 – August 10:  At Leisure In Cape Town [B, D]
This day is at leisure for you to explore all that you may want to see on your own while in the vibrant city of Cape Town.

On this day we recommend visiting Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned.  You may also try a Great White Shark Dive or simply stroll the boutiques, shops and cafes.

Day 4 – August 11:  Table Mountain and The Winelands [B]
Visit Table Mountain in the morning and take the cable car to the top for spectacular views in all directions and a bird’s eye view of the city below you and the coastline beyond.

Continue onward to The Winelands; check into your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 5 – August 12:  Touring The Winelands [B, D]
Get an overview of South Africa’s booming wine production from the masters.  Tour acclaimed wine farms and taste the legendary reds and unique whites, and learn first-hand what distinguishes South African wines from other top-producing global markets.

Like the Lebombo Euphorbia tree after which it was named, the design of Lebombo Lodge is one of a kind. From the sweeping wooden decks, you can watch the theatre that unfolds before you, while the lap pool beckons to enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

The fifteen suites feature contemporary finishes with beds dressed with Egyptian cotton and silky-soft throws. Enjoy dinner in the boma, then spend the evening, if you so wish, sleeping under the stars on the bed of your private terrace.

Sweni Lodge – Kruger National Park

Sweni Lodge was influenced by the structures of dens, warrens and lairs found in the area. Flanking the Sweni River, this tranquil sanctuary is elevated on stilts with decks of timber. Even when you’re indoors, you’ll have the sensation of being close to the river and trees.

The six secluded suites, with tactile furnishings, have been carefully created to bring in the textures and shades of the bush. Designed with open-plan living in mind, your suite flows from the bathroom area, through to the lounge and into the bedroom – yet if you wish, each area may be sealed off by curtains.
